Favourite Workplace Learning Blogs
This list is a result of a series of tweets, initiated by Janet Clarey who referred to a Top 50 list of educational technology blogs. These are not all the blogs I read and I have another set of blogs that are more academic and purely learning related.

Learning Flow: unfrozen
Not only is e-mail where knowledge goes to die (according to Luis Suarez ) but PDF’s are where entire articles go to die. Author’s Note: In developing this article, I have realized how limited the print medium is, especially when transferring what was originally a series of blog posts to create the basis of what is written here. As a blog post [ [link] ] this article built on previous posts and was open to comments This is a re-publication of an article I wrote that was originally published in April 2006 for ADETA , but is no longer available on their website.

The Curmudgeon’s Manifesto
I believe that Luis Suarez has started something in Curmudgeons Unite! :
I guess I could sum it up in one single sentence: “ The more heavily involved I’m with the various social networking sites available out there, the more I heart my own personal business blogs “. One way to keep information accessible is to use an open, accessible, personal blog as the centre of your web presence.
As you may have guessed, this crankiness phase I’m going through hasn’t got anything to do with the world of social computing in general, but more with a good number of social networking sites.

Multiple Social Networks
Luis Suarez and Dennis McDonald have posted about the issues with the large number of social networking sites: Your Single Social Network - ClaimID and Identity 2.0 Luis, Dennis and I (and I'm sure lots of folks) have all gone through the decision of whether to spend time signing up and using another site. I've had several conversations recently where someone wanted me to be involved in their to the Rescue? Is There Such a Thing as "Social Networking Fatigue"? In these posts they discuss the fact that with as many social networking sites (and I would add other kinds of Web 2.0

Facebook Platform
Luis Suarez - How to Boost Your Social Capital with Facebook mentions MyBlogLog . Great example, Luis. If you think about MyBlogLog implemented on top of Facebook it becomes a better application because I'll know more people who are visiting my blog. In fact, LMS, Elgg, Flickr, del.icio.us, Wikis, Blogs, Discussion Groups, Amazon, hmmm, Stephen Downes picked up my post on Facebook As a Learning Platform . He commented: To be clear, I do not think that Facebook itself is really a learning environment.

Top 10 Tools for Your Blog or Web Site
Luis Suarez
Wouldn’t it be cool to let the wisdom of your crowd suggest things on the net that merit your attention? It beats threshing a barrage of chaff to locate the kernels of information you want. It’s a time-saver, time is money, and most of us could use more of it.

2007 Traffic Stats - Hopefully a Meme
Referral traffic is generally from other blogs. This somewhat understands reach of the blog since I provide full feeds and many people never leave their reader to come to the web site. I would guess that these percentages are similar on other blogs, but I don't know. I'm hoping some of the following folks would be willing I've seen a couple of posts ( Matt Cutts , Dave Taylor ) talking about their relative web statistics for 2007. While my stats are very low in comparison to theirs, I was hoping that I could entice fellow bloggers to post some stats about their traffic

Launch Day of Communities and Networks Connection
It is in that juicy place in between communities and networks that helps to collect and organize useful content from blogs and other web sites, from people who care about, and are passionate to understand these phenomenon we call “communities” and “networks.” If you go to my blog’s content page, Full Circle , the page shows on the left the keywords that I write about a fair amount. Connections make the world go round. I

IBM Bloggers - A Lengthy List - But No Worries
I've been reading Luis Suarez's blog for a while, and he just had an interesting post that pointed me to IBM's BlogRoll . While lots of the blogs listed there have interesting technical topics, I don't have the time to examine them each ... I've found that if they are blogging about topics that I'm interested in, the natural network effect of blogs will eventually get me there. (Or but I'm not worried. Or maybe I'm deluding mysel
