Magento Scores $22.5 Million For Open Source E-commerce Platform Play
If I were to venture a guess, I would say PayPal plays a part in this story – from what I can gather the least you can say is that the digital payment company has a deep partnership with Magento that spans both co-marketing of their respective services as well as a collaboration on a product development level.
The roadmap for the future is apparently paved with additional products, with a number of “Mobile Commerce, Saas offering and other products/services” coming later this year.
According to a regulatory filing , LA-based Magento Commerce , which develops an open source e-commerce software suite, has recently received a $22.5

Changemakers.com: Remote Collaboration
At Adaptive Path we often talk about collaboration. We turn down work with prospects that don’t want to collaborate with us and cherish opportunities to work closely with clients that do. The Changemakers’ team and project was the quintessential collaboration between client and consultancy, resulting in a powerful redesign meeting the needs of both the client and user. It’s in our DNA . What’s even more amazing is the three parties involved in the project are spread across North America:

Futures of the Internet
Earlier this year the Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project and Elon University conducted research toward The Future of the Internet IV , the latest in their survey series , which began with Future of the Internet I – 2004 . This latest report includes guided input from subjects such as myself (a “thoughtful analyst,” they kindly said) on subjects pertaining to the Net’s future. We were asked to choose between alternative outcomes — “tension pairs” — and to explain our views. Here’s the whole list:

Messages are routed through the Tgether server where they are archived—along with email attachments—and accessible via the web for future use. Once you sign up for an account, you can create a custom email address at Tgether for everyone to keep in the loop, such as yourgroup@tgether.com. From there you can invite

25 Stretch Goals for Management
Leaders must be recast as social-systems architects who enable innovation and collaboration. Expand and exploit diversity. In the future, they must facilitate innovation and change. Share the work of setting direction. Management systems must give more power to employees whose emotional equity is invested in the future rather than in the past. Expand the scope of employee autonomy. In May 2008, a group of renowned scholars and business leaders gathered in Half Moon Bay, California, with a simple goal: to lay out an agenda for reinventing management in the 21st century. The two-day event, organized by the Management Lab with support from McKinsey & Company, brought together veteran management experts such as CK Prahalad , Henry Mintzberg , and Peter Senge ; distinguished social commentators including Kevin Kelly , James Surowiecki and Shoshana Zuboff ; and a number of progressive CEOs, including Terri Kelly from WL Gore , Vineet Nayar from HCL Technologies
