If the Customer Is Truly King, Then Sonoma Partners Is One Smitten Queen
The firm works exclusively with Microsoft Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management software, thus they were in a prime position to goose their bottom line during a downturn. This goes back to the idea that businesses are holding tight to their existing customers. Any time a head of a company uses the word "upswing" in detailing his business' recent success, there is a bit of a compulsion around these parts to comment on the company. Please excuse a little cheerleading.

Can the Statusphere Save Journalism?
The persistent reverberation of those ideas in my head in the weeks to follow the exchange led me to explore the impact of the Statusphere on the authority of the blogosphere, as measured today. To broaden revenue horizons, publishers are experimenting with the idea of micro payments, charging consumers a few cents to view stories and also resurrecting pay walls, which serve as a tollbooth between readers and deeper content. Reid Hoffman Tells Charlie Rose: “Every Individual Is Now An Entrepreneur.”
Which is, by the way, what gave me the idea for LinkedIn.
So I’m a huge believer in the way that you actually get out of these economic downturns is through entrepreneurship, because that creates new kinds of jobs that actually have longevity and strength to them.
CHARLIE ROSE: But there’s also this idea of — and I’ve explored this before — with community. Reid Hoffman is an entrepreneur’s entrepreneur. He worked at Paypal, founded LinkedIn, and invested in dozens more.

Editor’s note : Last Sunday, we published a guest post by Wharton Professor Eric Clemons on “Why Advertising Is Failing On The Internet.” 8221; The post questioned a basic assumption that many of us in
