Social media & workplace performance matrix
Jane Hart has an excellent resource on Case Studies for Social Media & Learning in the Workplace that she keeps up to date. I’ve looked at it many times and thought that it might be easier to see the big picture as a matrix , which I’ve created as a Google Document .

PKM: a node in the learning network
Jane Hart has described five types of learning using social media , the lubricant of learning in digital networks. More ammo for the next time someone asks "what good can you do with Twitter?"
Jane Hart has posted the " 100+ (E-)Learning Professionals to follow on Twitter ." Now that looks like using a blog and not twitter but now since somehow (Jane probably just needed someone in the O's) I squeaked onto the list, I am watching my Twitter followers light up with new folks thus broadening my community of practice.
You tell them you can do something incredibly useful like troll it for professionals in your field that it might be valuable for you to follow. So ask those folks if they think it might be valuable to somehow pick the Top 100 people in your field

Social Learning Designer
Jane Hart suggested that we use the term Social Learning Designer to describe the role. Here are a couple of examples from the chat to maybe help you get started: Jane Hart: i work with learning depts to help them create more participatory, collaborative approaches to learning - rather than just shoving content at people Colleen Carmean: for learning orgs, we help in their desire to increase knowledge within the org by shaping systems that make info needed availalble to anyone at anytime. Out of the conversation in Learn Trends around making informal learning concrete, Cammy Bean asked: Cammy Bean: So is there a market for Social Media Instructional Designing Consultants?
